  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Mix-ins

  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Easter-themed candy optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and Easter-themed candy if using.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra crunch, add nuts or try using pastel-colored chocolate chips. These cookies make great Easter treats and can be frozen for later!
